No one is pro-abortion

Barack Obama said it well. No one is pro-abortion.

I didn't think this is what my first blog post would be about. I also didn't think this would once again be an issue up for discussion in our country. Well I did... I just don't understand why.

Have people not learned from the past? Yes, lets overturn Roe vs. Wade... and while we are at it, lets all get purple ponies and adopt communism for our country! Yay! Communism in theory is wonderful idea. Everyone will be equal, no one will be poor. Yeah, lets looks at how well that turned out! In a utopia, a perfect world, everyone would be equal. No one would be poor, everyone would be happy and healthy and there would be no need for money. In a perfect world there would be no need for abortion. No one would get raped, no one would die during child birth and no one would ever, ever need an abortion. BUT it is NOT a perfect world. Which is why Obama said it well... no one is pro-abortion. It is an evil, that in some cases is necessary.

I am absolutely not saying that abortion should be used as a means of birth control. In fact, I think that is very sad. I am saying that in certain cases, it is necessary. We as Americans should have enough faith in the women of our country to make the right decision regarding this delicate matter.

Imagine... if abortion was illegal, what would happen? Women would still get them, illegally. The number of women and teenagers who would die or be unable to have children as a result of botched abortions would be astonishing. The number of women and teenagers who would have babies and leave them in dumpsters or where ever would be astonishing... sad but true. Again, it is not a perfect world.

Her daughter was 14 at the time of this quote. After the trauma of being raped, she would not let her own child choose? What if her daughter was 10 years old? I know this may be a bit much information, but at 10, I could have gotten pregnant if I was rapped. Is making a CHILD give birth right? The child would probably die. Really... I could go on about this for hours. But here is the point. Women should have the right to chose. NO ONE IS PRO-ABORTION. Seriously. And no one should presume they have the right to make a decision like this for someone they don't know. No one should judge, unless they are ok with being judged themselves. And I personally don't know anyone who appreciates being judged, especially by someone they don't know.

Come on... lets put enough faith in the Women of our country to let them make the decisions they believe are right for their lives. Lets not take 15 steps backwards. Lets live, and let live!
